Born in Roselle Park, NJ. he lived in Roselle Park, then Maplewood before moving to Totowa in 1992. He was Senior Probation Officer for Essex County Probation Department, Newark, for 25 years before retiring in 1992. Mr. Carolan was a member of the Beth Israel Messianic Center, Garfield, NJ. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife: Maude (nee Walsh) Caruso Carolan of Totowa, N.J. 2 sons: Mark B. Carolan of Hochhausen, Germany. David Carolan of Miami Beach, FL. 2 daughters: Laurie J. Rosenfeld of Raleigh, NC. Leslie R. Carolan of Holly Springs, NC. 1 step son: Kevin Caruso of Matawan, N.J. 2 step daughters: Kristin Thompson of Manasquan, N.J. Beth Ann Muniz of Ringwood, N.J. Also surviving are 7 Grandchildren.
