Clegg, George A. of Paterson at rest in Paterson on August 26, 2005. Beloved husband of the late Emma (nee Bartholf) Clegg. Longtime companion of Gertrude Cauda. Father of Eileen Bonfanti and her husband Harry and Ronald Clegg and his wife Deborah. Brother of the late Jack, Arthur and Elizabeth Clegg. Grandfather of Andrew and his wife Anne, Michael and his wife Nancy, Steven and his wife Angie and Anthony and his wife Danielle and the late Amanda and Philip Clegg. Survivors include 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Hartwick Cemetery, Hartwick, NY on Wednesday at 2:00 PM. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, NJ 07512. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, Maryland, 20852-9813 or Hartwick Fire Department, P.O. Box 86, Hartwick, NY 13348 would be appreciated. For more information go to www.festamemorial.com OBITUARY George A. Clegg age 91 of Paterson died Friday. Born in Paterson he was a lifelong resident of Paterson. He was a Driver for P.D.S., Fairlawn for 32 years before retiring in 1986. Prior to that he worked for U.P.S. in New York moving furniture then owned George Clegg and Sons Trucking Co. with his brothers. Mr. Clegg was a retired member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local # 177. He was also a member of the Wayne Elks, for 34 years. Mr. Clegg was a football player for the Paterson North Ends and an avid Golfer. Preceeding him in death is his wife Emma (nee Bartholf) Clegg 2 brothers: Jack and Arthur Clegg A sister: Elizabeth Clegg 2 grandchildren: Amanda and Philip Clegg Survivors include: A daughter: Eileen Bonfanti of Denville, NJ A son: Ronald Clegg of Hartwick, NY Also survived by 4 grandsons, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
