Schwab, George of Brick, NJ formerly of Paterson and Wayne at rest in Butler on January 28, 2004. Beloved husband of the former Muriel Peterson. Father of George T. Schwab, Georgiann La Rosa, and JoAnn Delaney. Brother of Joseph Schwab, Cecelia Taylor, and Theresa Herrick. Grandfather of George A., Jenna, and Alison Schwab, Michael and Casandra La Rosa, Danelle Madigan, and Shannon Delaney. Great grandfather of Michael and Karli Madigan, and Austin Henderson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 8:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady of Consolation RC Church, Wayne at 9:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com OBITUARY George Schwab age 77 of Brick died Wednesday at his daughters home. Born in Paterson, NJ he lived in Paterson for most of his life, then in Wayne, NJ for 30 years before moving to Brick 3 years ago. He was a Lieutenant for the Paterson Police Department, Paterson, NJ for 30 years before retiring in 1986. Mr. Schwab was a World War II Navy Veteran and was a Tin Can Sailor. He was a member of the Naval Minewarfare Association. He belonged the PBA Local #1, Paterson and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Consolation RC Church, Wayne. Survivors include his wife: The former Muriel Peterson A son: George T. Schwab of Kinnelon 2 daughters: Georgiann La Rosa of Butler JoAnn Delaney of Bradenton, FL 2 sisters: Cecelia Taylor of Haledon Theresa Herrick of Washington Twsp. A brother: Joseph Schwab of Toms River Also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
