When I think of my Grandmother, there are not enough words to describe the impact she has had on my life, or the depth of the love I have for her in my heart. She was the most thoughtful, sincere, and kind person I have ever known. Who never had an unkind word to say about anyone. Her level of compassion and generosity extended far beyond the realm of just being polite. She genuinely cared deeply for just about anyone she met, and did not have to know them for very long to have a profound concern for them. My Grandmother was a very selfless woman, who always did her best to put others and their needs ahead of her own. In our conversations, my grandmother would be more concerned with my well-being and the well-being of ALL of those in my life, than to talk much about herself. It always amazed me how she would never forget to ask about each and every person everytime we spoke. In retrospect, I feel a bit selfish, as though I monopolized the conversations around my life. For this, I am genuinely sorry. In summary, I am truly blessed to have had such a wonderful woman in my life, and thankful for ALL of the love, kindness, compassion, and generosity she has shown to myself, my husband, and my daughter. There will not be a day to pass without remembering my grandmother. As there will also not be a day to pass where I will not be missing being able to give her a hug, a kiss, a phone call, or tell her I love her. Grandma, I know you are in heaven. I love and miss you dearly, and am so thankful to have had you in my life.
