Griffin, Rose (nee Hayek) of Haledon at rest in Fredon, NJ on February 16, 2003. Beloved wife of the late Charles J. Griffin. Mother of Patricia Spruce and Agnes Hayek. Mother in law of John F. Spruce and George Hayek. Sister of Harold Hayek, Ann Mandata, Evelyn Neeson and Ruth Taylor and the late Oscar Hayek, Peter Hayek, and Sally Newbury. Survivors include 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Boulevard, Totowa, on Thursday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard's R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson would be appreciated. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com OBITUARY Rose (nee Hayek) Griffin age 89 of Haledon died Sunday. Born in New London, Ct., she lived in Haledon for most of her life. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Daughters of Miriam, Clifton, NJ before retiring. Mrs. Griffin was a Parishioner of St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson and a member of its Senior Citizens Club. She was also active with many nursing organizations. She was a member of the St. Gerard Rosary Society. Predeceased by her husband: Charles J. Griffin Two brothers, Oscar Hayek and Peter Hayek And a sister, Sally Newbury Survivors include: Two daughters: Patricia Spruce of Hawley, Pa Agnes Hayek of Fredon, NJ Three sisters: Ann Mandata of Paterson, NJ Evelyn Neeson of Manasquan, NJ Ruth Taylor of Wayne, NJ A brother: Harold Hayek of Long Beach Island, NJ Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Boulevard, Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
