Layden, Mary E. (nee Gorman) of Totowa at rest in Oakland on November 17, 2003. Beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Layden. Mother of Jeanmarie Zarek and her husband Joseph L., Frances M. Smith and her husband Frank H. and Helen F. Davis and her husband Gilbert W. Grandmother of 7 and Great Grandmother of 11. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. (nee Gorman) Layden age 88 of Totowa died Monday. Born in Paterson, NJ she lived in Paterson before moving to Totowa over 50 years ago. She was a Cashier for Shulton Inc., Clifton, NJ.for many years before retiring in 1977. Mrs. Layden was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. She was also a former member of the Totowa Happy Seniors. Preceeding her in death was Her husband, Thomas A. Layden Survivors include: 3 daughters: Jeanmarie Zarek of West Paterson, NJ. Frances M. Smith of Fair Lawn, NJ. Helen F. Davis of Myrtle Beach, SC. Also surviving are 7 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 3 Sons in Law. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
