Negro, Josephine (nee Russo) of Wayne formerly of Paterson on June 3, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Vincent Negro. Mother of Anthony Nigra and the late Marian Negro and Vincent Nigra. Sister of Louise Denequolo. Grandmother of Michael, Thomas, and Steven Nigra. Great grandmother of Jessica and Thomas Nigra. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Marys RC Church, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Monday 8:00 to 9:00 AM at the funeral home. Born in Paterson, NJ she was a lifelong resident of Paterson before moving to Wayne 2 years ago. She was a Seamstress for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, Paterson, NJ before retiring. Mrs. Negro was a parishioner of St. Marys R.C. Church, Paterson. She was a member of the Italian American Independent Club of Totowa and the Totowa Boro Senior Citizens Club. She belonged to the Passaic Valley Elks Lodge #2111 Ladies Auxiliary, Totowa. Preceeding her in death was: her husband: Vincent Negro a daughter: Marian Negro a son: Vincent Nigra Survivors include: A son: Anthony Nigra of Jefferson City, Missouri A sister: Louise Denequolo of Paterson, NJ Also survived by 3 grandsons and 2 great grandchildren. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
