To my wonderful father on Valentines Day. I have been blessed with the most amazing Valentine for the last 47 years and I feel so loved and I know you do to. I will never forget that beautiful ceremony and all the love that was shown for you. It was remarkable. Hey dad, I can't believe this day is here again. The day I dread most in my life. The day our whole world fell apart. The day I lost my father, my friend, the backbone of our family, the most important man in my life and my hero. I miss you more than words can say and I love you soooooo much up to the sky and back. Hey Dad! Well, it's here again. The worst day of my life. The day I lost my father, my best friend, my hero. I can't believe it has been 4 years since you've been gone. The pain is still so real that it feels like it's happening all over again. There is not one day that goes by that I do not think of you or talk with you. You are still such a great part of my life. I don't know what I would do if I lost that. We all miss you terribly and we pray each day that your eternal life is bringing you happiness and peace. Hey Dad! I can't believe it has been four years today that you left my house on a Friday night (7:30 pm)for the very last time. Never knowing that would be the last time I would ever see you. You left my house after visiting with Bre and I like every Friday and then you were on your way to mommy's for your "Friday Night Date". I remember Breanna and I waving to you by the door and she yelled I love you Grampy and you yelled back I love you too Breeski and you pulled away. She had a great time with you that night. You played Don't Break the Ice, tic-tac-toe with her and she even tattooed your arm. Boy did she have you wrapped around her little finger. I also remember you saying to us to keep your bathing suit out for Saturday so you could swim on the 4th and you would bring hot dogs for the BBQ. And I remember you looking out my window and saying to us look on the lawn there is a bunny hopping across it. You were so excited to show Bre. This day I will never forget. Good Morning Dad! Well I guess Good is not the best word to describe this day. This is the day I dread every year and that is the day that God took you away from us. It has been three years since I last saw you and heard your sweet voice. My heart is still broken and the pain is still so real. You truly are the best father in the world and the most genuine man I have ever known. You have a heart of gold and a smile that could just light up a room. I think of your smile whenever I am sad. I miss your jokes and how you would always crack yourself up. Ha!Ha! Breanna misses you like crazy and just this past week her CCD teacher asked the class this question. What do you not have in your life that would make you happy? Your granddaughter's response was her GRANDFATHER and her DOG. It broke my heart to know that she is so sad without you. Merry Christmas to God's most precious angel, my father!!! Hi Dude: Good morning dad, I hope you are getting ready to enjoy your Christmas in heaven with Gramm, Gramp and John. I am sitting here on your couch and I am thinking of you like crazy. I am trying to hold back my tears because I don't want Bre to be upset. But my heart is crying an ocean. I can't believe you won't be over my house at 11:00 to give Bre her gift and for her to give yours, I can't believe I won't see you at Ann's for dinner, I can't believe there will be an empty chair again at our table, I can't believe I won't be able to call you tonight to make sure you got home safe and to ask you if you had a good time. But the worst is I can't believe I won't be able to give you a kiss or a hug and to tell you that I love you more than anyting. There just seems to be alot of can'ts lately. Hey Dude, it's me!!! Just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year and I am hoping your New Year's Eve was full of fun (I hope you had the chance to play cards). You and Kathy loved doing that on New Year's Eve. Mommy went by Kathy's last night (as always) and I know how very much you were missed. They didn't play cards though because that was your thing with Kath, so they just watched TV. I went to Rosella's house this year and no matter what I did throughout the evening I thought of you. There were times I would find myself in her dining room by myself just thinking of everything you are to me. Basically Dad, you were(and still are) my world. When it was midnight the first person I wished Happy New Year Dad was you. Before Breanna came running over to me, I looked up and gave you the biggest smile and kiss. I hope you saw it. I missed seeing your stupid party hat on and I missed hearing you blow your horn which would drive Buttons wild. But I know in my heart you did it for Breanna. I missed calling you at midnight and I hoped that after I spoke to Kathy she would say here's daddy. But she didn't. Dad these are the things I will miss for the rest of my life. Good Morning Dad! It's me!!This is the day I have been dreading - It has been two years since I lost my best friend and the most wonderful father God has ever created. I still can't believe you are gone. The pain is still so strong that it seems like yesterday but my heart is aching and it seems like forever. I truly miss you Dad and I can't believe you were taken from me. I ask God everyday why and the answers I will never understand. We needed you here more!!!! I look at your picture everyday and I look into your eyes and I know you are talking to me and guiding me through all lifes ups and downs. That's just like you Dad, always taking care of us. Hi Dude, I am having a real bad day today and wish you were here to talk to. I think of you every day and how I wish I just had 5 more minutes with you. Everyone says it gets easier as the days go by but I find them getting harder. I'm remembering last year at this time and how you didn't like the cold snowy days. You would call me up to make sure I wasn't going out and to make sure that my car had a 1/2 a tank full of gas or more when it was so cold outside. This way my tank wouldn't freeze. Hi Dad!! It's me again. The day is almost over and I can't believe that last year on this day I lost my father and my best friend. My whole world came tumbling down at around 1:00 pm when I was told you had left the earth. I still don't know why and don't know how my heart will ever heal. The pain is just as great then as it is now. I still expect to see you at my door or even when the phone rings I go to pick it up and get so disappointed to hear that it is not you on the other line. I even find myself calling you when I get home and I have to stop myself. I look at the clock on Friday's around 7:00 still saying to myself my Dad will be here any minute. But as reality has it that will never happen again and my heart breaks!!!!! God had different plans for you Daddy. You truly are an angel sent from heaven for 72 years and now God needs you back. Hi Daddy, it's me. I just was thinking about you (as always) and I wanted to reach for the phone to call you (as always)and then I realized that you are not there. I still can't believe you are gone. This is just something that I cannot accept. You were truly the rock of our family. You made us laugh, you were always there for us and you brightened our world with your smile. Good Morning Dad, Happy Thanksgiving!!! I know this is your favorite holiday and I sure hope you are going to have a great dinner with Gramm and Gramp and John. Today we are all going by Kathy's house like we always do. It just isn't the same without you here. I'm going to miss the huge amount of potatoes and corn that was always on your dish and how much you enjoyed them. It cracked me up to see how full you were getting but still managed to eat everything mommy put on your plate. The chair at the head of the table will remain empty again this year because you can never be replaced. It is suppose to get easier as the time goes by but for me it seems as if I lost you yesterday because the hurt is still so so so very deep. I know you will be with us in spirit daddy and watching over us as you always have. I miss you more and more each day and I visit with you often. I pray you are happy and you have that wonderful smile on your face. I know you are spreading laughter in heaven with your corny jokes and probably the funny stories we all shared once together. Hi, Daddy!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!! I can't believe we are at the holiday time of year again and you will not be here to spend them with us. Today, as I was cooking and getting ready for everyone to come over...I just couldn't believe that you were not going to walk through that door. Everthing I was doing was such a reminder of you and how much you loved the holidays and being there with us. Daddy, nothing feels the same or is the same and I know it never will be like it was. When Mommy set the table, again, she left the head of the table there just for you...as it will always be...no one will ever sit there Daddy, it will be your seat forever and a day. MERRY CHRISTMAS, DADDY!!!Well, Daddy, I can't believe it is Christmas and you are not here again. The sadness and pain that still rips my heart apart lingers and lingers. How I ache so badly to see you and to hear your voice. I so wish you could have been here on Christmas Eve...yelling at me telling me I made too much food and how much do you think one person could eat!!! But you would do it, Daddy and have the runny nose to prove it....I miss that so much!!! Hi Daddy!!! Well it's the day after Christmas and yet another Christmas Eve and Christmas Day without you here! I can't believe it's been 12 Christmas' without seeing your smiling face or hearing that wonderful laugh. I so miss our Christmas Eve's together (yes, Mommy is her usual nutty self...lol....you would still have a field day with her and some of things she says....lol) I put up your tree and your dancing musical Santa as I have done for the past 12 Christmas' oh how I remember how that dancing musical Santa of yours made you laugh...you are the cutest Daddy! We all missed you on Christmas Day as well.....as we all have over all these years! I know you were there with us.....I felt you in my heart as I do every single moment of every day of my life! Oh Daddy if I could only have one Christmas gift/wish for myself it would be for you and my baby boy Buttons to be back with me! How is my baby boy? I am so sure you are taking care of your little man in Heaven....and letting him get away with everything (always dismissing my "rules of the house" lol) I hope the two of you had the most wonderful and Blessed Christmas Eve and Christmas together! Daddy, I put a beautiful marble stone with the name HOPE on it for you at the cemetery....that is from your little granddoggy Hope (I know you never met her....but I know you watch over her, see her and love her.....she knows all about you and loves you and Buttons so much....so she wanted you and Buttons to have a special gift from her for Christmas and always! Oh, Daddy I can keep typing and talking to you (well I do everyday.....and I know you hear me cause you have never left my side...through anything good or bad within my life since you left this earth...I know you are my most loving Guardian Angel....and I love you so much for that) I can't stop the tears Daddy.....you and Buttons not being here never seems to get easier and I know it never will.....the pain inside will never go away, the want to just hug you again and give you the biggest kiss and just to sit and talk like we did all the time and laugh and just see your smile.....it rips me apart that I will never get to do that here on earth again....but I know someday we will be back together...and Daddy.....you are going to get the biggest kiss and hug (I don't think I will ever let go when I'm able to hug you again) My heart with never be whole again.....I do know that all the love, memories, joy and happiness you gave me and still do remains in my heart always. Well Daddy know I love you soooooooooooo much and missssssss you every single day! I can't believe it has been 10 years since I lost you. Sometimes the pain is still so strong it feels like we just lost you. Time doesn't really heal we just learn to live without and go on. Hi Dad, it's me. I can't believe it has been 7 yrs since you left us. I can't believe it has been 7 yrs. since we saw your wonderful smile and heard your sweet voice. No matter how many years go by I still will never be ok with this. You left us way too early and without a goodbye.
