Samra, Ann (nee Azar) of Totowa at rest in Totowa on November 4, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Samuel Samra. Mother of John Samra and his wife Barbara, Kenneth Samra, Gary Samra and his wife Mary and Elaine Aquino and her husband Ernie. Grandmother of John Jr., Gregory, Matthew, Marlana and Nicholas. Sister of Alfred Azar and Eleanor Apone. Surviving are 6 Great Grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. For more information go to www.festamemorial.com OBITUARY Ann (nee Azar) Samra age 91 of Totowa died Friday. Born in Norwich, CT she lived in Paterson and West Paterson before moving to Totowa in 1975. She was the owner and proprietor of Samras Tavern, Paterson for 40 years before retiring. Prior to that she worked at Curtiss-Wright Corp., Fairfield, NJ for 30 years. Mrs. Samra was one of the first women to work at Curtiss-Wright Corp., Fairfield during W.W. II. and is credited for organizing the first Womens Bowling League there. Preceeding her in death was her husband: Samuel Samra, died 1971 Survivors include: 3 sons: John Samra of Fairlawn, NJ Kenneth Samra of Totowa, NJ Gary Samra of Little Falls, NJ A daughter: Elaine Aquino of Totowa, NJ A brother: Alfred Azar of Clifton, NJ A sister: Eleanor Apone of St. Petersburg, FL Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 daughters-in-law and a son-in-law. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
