Rocco, Anthony "Tony" M. age 63 of Lavallette, NJ on Friday, April 20, 2012 in Hackensack, NJ. Anthony was a former resident of Morris Township, NJ. He was born October 3, 1948 in Paterson, NJ and was raised in West Paterson attending local schools. He graduated Passaic Valley High School in 1966 and earned his undergraduate degree at Seton Hall University in South Orange in 1970. Following completion of his law degree from New England School of Law, Boston, Mass, in 1973 , he worked in the Passaic County Prosecutors Office until entering private practice two years later. He was an acting prosecutor for Wanaque, Bloomingdale, and Haledon for several years. Upon retirement in 2009, Anthony began full time residency in Lavallette, NJ until his death. He was a member of St. Pio Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus Council #8415, Lavallette Yacht Club, Moose Lodge Ortley Beach, NJ and Republican Club, Beautification Committee and Voters & Taxpayers Association. He had great devotion to Simon's Soup Kitchen and actively participated in helping those in need. Anthony was the beloved husband of Rosealine (nee Falcione) Rocco as well as loving father to Patrice of Lavallette, NJ and Anthony Jr., & his wife Kristen of Monroe, Ct. Dearest grandfather of Kaleigh Rae & Colin James of Monroe, Ct. Cherished brother of Grace Zingg & her husband, William of Little Falls, NJ and uncle to Michael & Joseph Palladino. Anthony was predeceased by his parents John (2001) and Lucy (nee Zambrano) Rocco (2008). Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure RC Church, Paterson at 10:15 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Circle of Friends, Simon's Soup Kitchen, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
