Gazzo, Thomas V., 84 of Mountainhome, PA, formerly of Belleville, NJ, passed peacefully during the early morning hours of March 29th at the VNA Hospice House, East Stroudsburg, PA. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Julia (Dalesandro) Gazzo with whom he shared more than 61 special years of marriage. Born in Newark, NJ on April 17, 1927, he was the son of Frank and Maria (Grassia) Gazzo. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and delivered milk on a hometown route. He was a member of Teamsters Local 478 and drove for Inland Freightways, Associated Transport, and Northern Feather before retiring in 1989. He enjoyed working outdoors and loved spending time with his family. He will forever be missed by his beloved wife Julia. He is forever in the hearts of daughter Mona Uathavikul and her husband George; son Thomas Gazzo and his wife Lisa (Ianzano) of Parsippany, NJ; his four grandchildren, Vincent and Julianna Uathavikul and Brian and Kelly Gazzo. He is survived by a sister Antoinette Yacovelli, a brother in-law George Zimmerman, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandson Justin Gazzo, brother Phillip Gazzo, brother and sister-in-law James and Susan Gazzo, sister Louise Zimmerman, sister and brother-in-law Phyllis and Vincent Cerrato, and brother-in-law Michael Yacovelli. There will be a viewing from 2-6 PM on Sunday, April 1st at Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa. The funeral mass will take place Monday, April 2nd at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church at 10:15 AM. Cremation to follow at Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson.
