Dear Al, Lin and Mikey, I am so very sorry for your loss. Alzheimer’s took Angie from you long before now and I know that her presence and love has been so missed. She was always so welcoming and loving. I remember all the times she would come walking into the house with a bowl of Pasta Fazul for Lisa and how much Michael would laugh hysterically whenever Angie and Al would banter back and forth acting frustrated and angry with each other, when in reality anyone who was lucky enough to be in their presence knew they were completely devoted to each other. She was a just a tiny pint size example of how to live a very long life of loyalty and love for and from her Italian family. It’s been so long since she has been able to express the love she has for you all and I know that has been missed. Praise God for the gift of her love. We love you. Rhonda, Edvin and Cass.

My Godmother - Angie Martin ("Aunt Toy") - passed away today. She had been gone from my life for many years, having been robbed of her identity by Alzheimer's Disease. I will never forget Aunt Toy nor her kindness and generosity to me, my family, and everyone whose life she touched. My thoughts are with Al, Lin, Michael and Lisa too. I imagine Tootsie has returned to Grandma's kitchen. The table's set, she's calling "Martin," my dad and her dad are sitting there too. I can almost smell the coffee...
