Hi Aunt June, cousin June and Jackie. So sorry about Uncle Jake's sudden passing. I'm equally sorry that illness prevented me from attending his service. I, like the rest on these pages will have fond memories of Uncle Jake forever. The fourth of July's through the years (my birthday)at our old house in Milton and the trunk full of fireworks and Frito Lay snacks he always brought up made my birthdays as a kid. He will be missed but never forgotten. Love to all, cousin Vincent (Black Bart). special.

I was saddened to hear of Jake’s passing and the loss to his and June’s family. I had the pleasure of working very closely with Jake for almost 15 years. In his commitment to Frito-Lay, he consistently displayed the “old school values of a strong work ethic, respect for the organization, and personal integrity. In addition to his many accomplishments, I will always remember Jake as someone who really distinguished himself from the crowd. Everyone wanted to say they knew him and more times than not took pride in having their very own personal Jake story or experience.
More importantly, I really admired the way Jake kept his priorities straight. In our many conversations away from work, he always displayed tremendous pride in frequently talking about his family and heritage, as well as his many affiliations and outside interests. I learned so much from Jake and feel privileged to say he was an ongoing supporter of mine, confidant, and close friend. He will surely be missed.

It was such a pleasure working with Jacob "Jake" until 1994 until I moved out of state to start my new life. Our Vend/Foodservice Department always had wonderful colleagues and were always helpful.

June, `Patti and I want to send you and your family our deepest condolences. What else is there to say about Jake...He was JAKE!! I worked for Jake for 14 years. He was my Mentor, my Boss, my Friend. We had many laughs over the years, but you always knew where you stood with Jake. He was a true professional!
Jake was well known for his "Famous Jake-isms". As he said to many of us as he ended a conversation or phone call.. "Keep Swinging Kid"
He will be missed.

JUNE, MY RELATIONSHIP WITH JAKE WAS FAR MORE THAN BUSINESS, WE BECAME FRIENDS AND COMPANIONS IN OUR CAREERS, AS WE WORKED TOGETHER IN PIONEERING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE VEND DIVISION IN FRITO-LAY. WE WORKED THROUGH THE ROUGH TIME, BUT ENJOYED FAR MORE GOOD TIMES. I ALWAYS APPRECIATED JAKES'S SUPPORT OF ME, AND THE PEOPLE WHO WORKED FOR HIM IN THE NORTHEAST DIVISION. HE WOULD FORCEFULLY SUPPORT HIS PEOPLE, BUT REQUIRED THEIR BEST. HE WAS A GREAT GUY TO BE AROUND FOR HE KEPT US LAUGHING, BUT COULD "CUT TO THE CHASE" WITH THAT YANKEE (NJ) APPROACH. HE WAS A "DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH", HARD ON THE SURFACE, BUT BEAUTIFUL ON THE INSIDE.
JAKE, THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES, YOU WILL BE MISSED.

Kathy and I want to extend to June and the Family our deepest condolences on the passing of Jake. We have very fond memories from our time at Totowa United Methodist Church. Trusting in that blessed hope of the Resurrection morn ! And counting on the Apostle Paul when he said: "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord" 2 Corinthians 5:8 KJV.

I've lived next door to Jack for the past 11 years and can say I've never had a better neighbor. You were a good man, a good father, an excellent husband and a fantastic neighbor. You always called our dog Micki "Missie". You will be very much missed, from your friendly wave every morning as I'd leave for work and you took your morning walk to the days of snowblower sharing.

I had the pleasure of working with Jake from 1977 thru 1988 for Frito Lay from Pittsburgh, PA. He was the fairest person I have ever worked for and together we made great advances for our company. I always called him the "Stubborn Dutchman" but my relations with him was always with the greatest respect. His wife June was my best e-mail partner. We have kept in touch all these years. God Bess you Jake.I will miss you.

I was saddened to hear of Uncle Jake's passing. Aunt June, June, Jake, and family: You are in my thoughts and prayers. My fondest memories of Uncle Jake mirror cousin
Lauren's memories; being down the shore, at Grandma and Grandpa Solanko's house in Lavelette, and you all visiting us at our vacation bungalow, at Midway Beach. Uncle Jake brought us snacks, from his company. Good times.
I can picture Uncle Jake, Uncle Bill, and my Dad, Ray, hanging out together, and smiling down on all of us, from Heaven......
God bless all of you.
Love,
(neice)Kathleen Clarke Severino
