Holst, Bruce H. age 74 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on September 24, 2011. Beloved husband of the former Mary Reilly of Totowa. Loving Father of Terri Anne Holst of Fair Lawn and Thomas Holst and his wife Rene of Hopewell. Dear Brother of Diane Noon of Monmouth Junction and the late Frederick Holst. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in West New York, he lived in Richfield for most of his life, then in Fort Lee before moving to Totowa forty one years ago. He was a Construction Estimator for Union Paving Co., Irvington, for many years before retiring in 2003. Mr. Holst was an Exempt Firefighter for the Fort Lee Ladder Co. # 3. He was a member of the Operating Engineers' Local # 825, Little Falls. He was also an avid Fisherman and a huge sports fan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 1:30 PM. Funeral Mass to follow at Christ Episcopal Church, Totowa at 2:00 PM. Committal prayers to follow at Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Jawanio of New Jersey, 1033 Rte 46 East, Clifton, N.J. 07015 would be appreciated.
