Great grandma we will always remember you coming to our house on Chistmas Eve, and telling us how cute we are and how much you love us.

I’m sure everyone here has memories much like mine. They are good memories, something we’ll always have to cherish. It isn’t often in our lives that we come across someone so special that that person stays with you forever. Martha Snyer was that person for me.
The kind of love she felt for me was a love without condition. She may not have approved of everything I did, may not have liked some of the decisions I made, but she didn’t lecture, she didn’t judge. She just kept loving me, letting me know that she was there and if I ever needed her, I could count on her to listen, to comfort, to help.
She lived a simple life. It didn’t take much to make her happy—a phone call, a card, a visit or a kiss before saying good night. Her daughters and grandchildren were the most important people in the world to her. She lived to make our lives better and was proud of us.
To think that someone like her felt that way about us should make us all feel more than just a little good. We can never forget that there is a part of her in each of us, something that she gave to us and asked nothing for in return.
There have been and will be times in my life when situations arise where I'll want so much to talk to her, be with her or ask her just what I should do. I hope that, when those times come, I can begin to look inside and find that part of her that she gave to me.
Maybe we all can learn to lean on each other and rely on each other the way we always knew that we could with her. Maybe then she won’t seem quite so far away.
Grandma, the greatest reward in my life is knowing you. Nothing in the world could ever replace one second of the time I was lucky enough to spend with you. I loved just to sit and talk with you about anything, no matter how trivial. You always had time for me. You were never too busy and you never pushed me away.
Thank you for all your kindness and sweet words. Thank you for your smiles and your hugs. Thank you for the funny stories and all the wonderful food you cooked.
Thank you for always thinking of everyone else long before you ever thought of yourself. Thank you for making our lives far more special than they ever could have been without you.
So, for your wisdom, your humor, tenderness and compassion, your understanding, your patience and your love; thank you, Grandma. Thank you so much. I love you.

I always remember Aunt Martha being happy, smiling and laughing. She gave great hugs, but don't mess her hair! She always took care of herself and always was ready for a party, even if she didn't feel like it, she'd never make you feel unwanted or unconfortable. She was one of a kind . Rest in Peace Aunt Martha.
