Murray, Joseph J. age 77 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on November 30, 2010. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Lami) Murray. Loving Father of Patricia Murray Di Pietro of Wanaque, Michele Dorsett and her husband Brian of Totowa, Joseph P. Murray and his wife Bernadette of Hawthorne, Peter J. Murray and his wife Christine of Indiana. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson, before moving to Totowa 46 years ago. He was a Route Sales Driver for Wonder Bread, Paterson for 38 years before retiring in 1994. Mr. Murray was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa, where he served as a trustee and head usher. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, St. James Council #6574. He was a volunteer at St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, Totowa. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a life member and former chaplain of the Marine Corps League, Lakeland Detachment #744. He was an avid gardener, and all around sports enthusiast and he was dedicated to his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 9:45 am. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:15 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Friday 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, Little Sisters of the Poor, 140 Shepherds Lane, Totowa, NJ 07512 and/or St. James Endowment Fund, C/O St. James Rectory, 32 St. James Place, Totowa, NJ 07512 would be appreciated.
