Obituary of Peter W. Hollis

Hollis, Peter W. age 78 of Totowa at rest at home on September 10, 2010. Beloved husband of the former Norma C. Martin of Totowa. Loving Father of Ruth Hollis of Totowa and Peter W. Hollis Jr. of Frankfurt. Brother of the late Frank Hollis and Matilda Puglisi. Survivors include nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Born in Garfield, he lived in Passaic for most of his life before moving to Totowa forty-five years ago. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for NJ Department of Transportation for forty years before retiring in 1991. A Korean Conflict veteran, Peter attended the yearly USS Kleinsmith reunions and was a member of the American Legion, Post #174, Wayne. In addition, he was a member of the Pennsylvania Drum Corps Hall of Fame, New Jersey Department of Transportation's Retirees Association and the Reilly Raiders Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps, Philadelphia, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral service to follow at Hungarian Reformed Church, 220 4th St., Passaic at 10:00 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
