Obituary of Bernard M. Cooke Sr.

Cooke, Bernard M. Sr. age 83 of Woodland Park at rest in Paterson on June 4, 2010. Beloved husband of the former Stella Todzia of Woodland Park. Loving Father of Carolyn Melbourne of Totowa, Bernard M. Cooke Jr. and his wife Susan of Clifton, Joseph Cooke and his wife Mary of AZ., Donald W. Cooke of CA. and Dr. Kenneth R. Cooke and his wife Dina of Solon, OH. Grandfather of Amy Giordano, Dawn Pantano, David Cooke, Danielle Patti, Renee Cooke, Jaclyn Bierizo, Christian Cooke and Liam Cooke. Great Grandfather of Damian Pantano, Jeremy Pantano, Josilyn Martinez, Chazz Giordano and Richard Bierilo. Born in Ontario, Canada he came to the U.S.A. in 1928 settling in Paterson before moving to West Paterson in 1967. He was a Senior Water Repairman for the Passaic Valley Water Commission, Clifton, for thirty years before retiring in 1990. He was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 77, Paterson and the V.F.W. Post # 7165, Clifton. Mr. Cooke was an avid N.Y. Yankees and N.J. Devils Fan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society N.J.
