Obituary of Giuseppe Silano

Silano, Giuseppe age 81 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on June 2, 2010. Beloved husband of Carmela (nee Sellitto) Silano of Paterson. Loving Father of Nina Di Palma and her husband Giuseppe of Italy, Tina Nahra and her husband Steven of Paterson, Maria Dvorak and her husband Glenn of Clifton and Connie Vacca and her husband Carmine of Wayne. Brother of Concetta Giordano of Paterson and Andrea Silano of Rochester, NY. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Born in Pratola Serra, Prov. di Avelino, Italy, he came to the United States in 1966 residing in Paterson. He was a Supervisor for Pepsi-Cola, West Caldwell for over 20 years before retiring in 1991. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii R.C. Church, Paterson. He was a member of the Roma Club, Paterson. He was an avid gardener and homemade winemaker. He was also a soccer fan and a NY Yankee fan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady of Pompeii R.C Church, Paterson at 11:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may call Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
