Carr, Joseph age 89 of Palm Beach, FL., formerly of Kinnelon and Paterson at rest in Paterson on May 8, 2010. Beloved husband of the former Jane M. Lynch of Paterson. Loving Father of Dr. Jane Carr of Montclair, Debra Carr and her husband Dr. Lawrence Shendell of Short Hills and Raymond J. Carr of Paterson. Grandfather of Zachary Carr - Dreher and Devin Joseph Carr - Shendell. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson, then in Kinnelon, then in Palm Beach, FL. before moving back to Paterson three years ago. He retired as a Captain for the Paterson Fire Department, Paterson after serving for thirty three years before retiring in 1980. Mr. Carr was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was a member of the F.M.B.A. He was also a Master Carpenter and built many homes in the North Jersey area. Mr. Carr was dedicated to his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 10:00 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:30 AM. Committal to follow at Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com.
