Firstbrook, George A. age 85 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on February 17, 2010. Born in Paterson, he was a lifelong resident. He was a Truck Driver for the Passaic County News, Paterson for 50 years before retiring. He was a WW II Army veteran and landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day. He received the Bronze Star and recognition from the Mayor of St. Lo, France. He was a member of the VFW, Post 10104, Totowa and was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii Senior Citizens, and Curtiss Wright Retirees. Beloved husband of the former Margaret Lavorgna of Paterson. Loving Father of George Firstbrook & his wife, Olga of Pasadena, MD, Craig Firstbrook & his wife, Debra of Wayne, and Joyce Weiss & her husband, David of Forked River. Dear Grandfather of Melissa, David, Thomas, Bethany, Ashley & Kaitlin and Great Grandfather of Ava & Giana. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
