Obituary of Dominick Sigismondi

Sigismondi, Dominick age 63 of Wayne formerly of Paterson, at rest in Wayne on January 11, 2010. Beloved husband of the former Angela "Bunny" Rocco of Wayne. Loving Father of Angela F. Gencarelli and her husband Angelo of Wayne. Grandfather of Gabriella, Angelo and Salvatore Gencarelli. Brother of Angelina Rasa of Pequannock and Anthony Sigismondi of Paterson. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and many comrades from the American Legion Post # 227. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson for most of his life before moving to Wayne fifteen years ago. He was the Plant Manager for Marange Printing Co., Nutley for several years before retiring in 2007. Prior to that, he was employed by the Rocco Press, Paterson and Litton Industries, Clifton. Mr. Sigismondi served in the U.S. Army with a full tour of Vietnam serving in the Airborne. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Sharpshooter Rifle Medal, and the Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa where he served as Adjutant & Service Officer. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. He was also a member of Murph's Boys, Totowa. His greatest love of his life was his family. He graduated from Paterson Public Schools, Rets Electronic School, and Rochester Printing Institute. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Pompton Lakes at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
