Obituary of John W Kauffman

Kauffman, John W. age 87 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on December 14, 2009. Beloved husband of fifty-nine years to the former Dorothy Kienle of Totowa. Loving Father of Robert Kauffman and his wife, Rosemary of Lords Valley, PA, Carol McGrath and her husband Kevin, of Montclair, Susan Bochicco and her husband, Joseph of Raleigh, NC, Ellen Arlauskas and her husband, Mike of Butler, and Diane Lopez-Diaz and her husband Fernando of Longboat Key, FL. Doting grandfather of eleven grandchildren and great grandfather of three. Brother of the late Charles Kauffman. Born in Newark, he was a Totowa resident for most of his life. John was a Shipping Supervisor for International Food Services, Inc., New York before retiring. Mr. Kauffman was a life member of VFW Post #10104, Totowa, and the American Legion Post # 227, Totowa. A member of the Bethany Church, Wyckoff, he was active with their food pantry. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 10:00AM. Entombment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
