Obituary of Salvatore A Longo

Longo, Salvatore A. "Tut" age 95 of Paterson at rest in Flemington on July 14, 2009. Beloved husband of the late and former Nancy De Mattia ( 2003 ). Father of Bart A. Longo and his wife Judith of Stockton. Grandfather of Susanne C. Longo of Los Angeles, CA., Cara A. Longo of Long Island City, N.Y. and Christopher M. Longo and his wife Sonya of Basking Ridge. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson for most of his life. He was a Machinist for Van Vlanderen Inc., Paterson for many years before retiring in 1976. Mr. Longo was an avid golfer, a semi-professional football quarterback, a semi-professional hockey goalie, and an amatuer boxer. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Committal services to follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Friends may call Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
