Zalfino, Jean "Jennie" (nee Spilla), age 91 of Paterson at rest in Bloomingdale on July 12, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Frank Zalfino. Loving Mother of Frank Zalfino and his wife Joyce of Pompton Plains. Grandmother of Keith and his wife Dyan and Jeff and his wife Christine. Great grandmother of Chase. She was predeceased by 2 sisters and a brother. Born in New York City, she lived most of her life in Paterson. She was a Seamstress for the garment industry, Paterson. She was a member of the I.L G.W.U., now called the Unite, and Local 134, where she was a sewing machine operator for many years. Mrs Zalfino was also a member of the Golden Club. In addition, she was a member of the Unite Seniors Club of Totowa, where she was a sunshine girl, Vice President, and President. Mrs. Zalfino was a County Committee woman for the 2nd Ward and the 2nd District. She was also a parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson and a former member of the Rosary Altar Society. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Thursday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com.
