Cook, William "Bill" L. Jr. age 86 of Secaucus at rest in Fairfield on June 17, 2009. Loving Father of Donald P. Cook and his wife Melanie of Brick and Warren G. Cook and his wife Linda of Little Falls. Brother of Caroline Kimberly of Gramby, CT, Roslyn Kay of Maine, Harold Cook of Totowa and the late Paul Cook. Grandfather of Donald Cook and George Cook. Also surviving are many wonderful nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Secaucus all of his life. He was a Machinist for Berol Corp., North Bergen, for many years before retiring in 1986. Mr. Cook was a communicant of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Secaucus. He participated in the Senior Olympics Bowling Team. Prior to WWII, he was very active in the Sea Scouts. He was a WWII Navy Veteran serving in the European, Asiatic Pacific, and American Theater. He was the recipient of the Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was also a model train enthusiast. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 7:30 PM. Friends may call Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Cremation will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Barnabus Hospice, 95 Old Short hills Road, West orange, N.J. 07502 would be appreciated.
