Obituary of Ernest A. Bavazzano

Bavazzano, Ernest "Ernie" A. age 82 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on May 20, 2009. Beloved husband of the late and former Regina M. Mc Gillick ( 2000 ). Father of Sandra L. Macolino of Paterson and Ernest J. Bavazzano and his wife Susan of Totowa. Brother of John Bavazzano of Caldwell. Grandfather of Robert and Chris Macolino and Joseph, Sean and Elise Bavazzano. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he was a lifelong city resident. He was an Inspector for John Deere Inc., Woodridge for several years before retiring in 1997. Prior to that, he was an Inspector for Curtiss-Wright Corp., Woodridge for over forty years. Mr. Bavazzano was a parishioner and usher at St. Brendan's R.C. Church, Clifton. He was a member of St. Anthony's Leisure Club, Paterson. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Paterson Council #240. He was a member of the Curtiss Wright Retiree's Club. Mr. Bavazzano was a WW II Navy veteran serving in the European Theater. He was a member of the AARP Lakeview Chapter, Clifton. He was an avid sports enthusiast and was dedicated to his family and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday at 8:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Brendan R.C. Church, Clifton at 9:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
