Casanova, Nicolas E. age 82 of Paterson at rest in Wayne on May 8, 2009. Beloved husband of Blanca I. (nee Bidart) Casanova of Paterson. Loving Father of Stella M. Tyjer and her husband Waldemar of Paterson. Grandfather of Daphne Chacon, Sabrina Tyjer, Maya Casanova, Gregory Tyjer, Natasha Tyjer, Nicole Casanova, Kevin Tyjer and Marco Casanova. Great-grandfather of Lucas Chacon and Evan Chacon. Also survived by 6 brothers and sisters. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, he came to the United States in 1965 and lived in Paterson for most of his life. He was an employee of Fisher Scientific Co., Fair Lawn for 20 years before retiring in 1991. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Sunday 7-9 PM only. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com.
