Giangaspro, Josephine "Josie" (nee Lombardi-Mondello) age 92 of Cedar Grove at rest in Cedar Grove on May 2, 2009. Josephine was born and raised in Bronx, NY, moving to East Rutherford, NJ in the mid-60's. She was a homemaker and a Sales Consultant for Bridals by Roma, Ridgewood for many years before retiring. After retirement, because of her love for children, she became a nanny to two different families, where she was referred to as Grandma Josie. Grandma Josie, as she loved to be called, was a loving, caring and giving person to all that knew her. Her family was the center of her life and she gave 100% always. She touched and enriched so many lives with her love and warm personality. She is predeceased by her parents Josephine and Ferdinand Lombardi, her cherished son Ben Mondello, her husband Salvatore Mondello and by 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Survived by her daughter Pearl Liss and her husband Moe. Her grandchildren Jaime Cangialosi-Murphy and her husband Bill, Judi Mondello-Collins and husband Chuck, Sharon Mondello, Michael Mondello and his wife Christine, Krisann Mondello and Justine and Max Keenher and 7 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church, Wayne at 10:00 AM. Cremation at Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Vincent's Nursing Home/Activities Department, 315 E. Lindsley Road, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009 would be appreciated.
