Obituary of Francis L. Byrnes

Byrnes, Francis "Frank" L. age 63 of West Paterson at rest in Wayne on November 24, 2008. Beloved husband of the former Nancy Hydecker of West Paterson. Father of Christine M. Byrnes of Clifton and David F. Byrnes and his wife Ricki of North Caldwell. Step Father of Lee Elson and his wife Keri of Ohio. Grandfather of David J., Julia T. and Celia J. Byrnes and Tripp and Hayden Elson. Brother of Veronica Corby and her husband Jim of Totowa, Kathleen Snell and her husband Jesse of Clifton, Leslie Byrnes of Clifton, Edward Byrnes of Paterson and Lawrence Byrnes and his wife Irma of Toms River. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson before moving to West Paterson in 1994. He was an Electrical Foreman/Supervisor for Montclair State University, Montclair for twenty four years before retiring in 2005. Mr. Byrnes was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era. He was a member of the V.F.W., Cedar Grove. He was an avid golfer and all around sports enthusiast. Mr. Byrnes was a devoted family man. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson at 9:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
