Picarelli, Matio A. of Paterson at rest in Wayne on August 1, 2005. Beloved husband of Denise (nee Deceuninck) Picarelli. Father of Dr. Judy Moran and Dr. Josafin Picarelli and her husband Dr. Mark Falk. Grandfather of Michelle Lane and Peter Moran. Great grandfather of Megan Elizabeth and Thomas Matthew Lane. Brother of Rose Di Lemma and John Picarelli. He is predeceased by 5 late brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. For more information go to www.festamemorial.com OBITUARY Matio A. Picarelli age 84 of Paterson died Monday. Born in Paterson, NJ he was a lifelong resident of Paterson. He was employed by the Hackensack Board of Education for 33 years. He was also the Supervisor of the English Department at Hackensack High School, Hackensack, NJ before retiring. He was a W.W. II Army Veteran and a reciepient of the Purple Heart and the Oak Leaf Cl. He received his Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision from Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ. He was a lifelong member of the N.J.E.A. Mr. Picarelli was a parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Hackensack. Preceeding him in death are 5 brothers and sisters Survivors include his wife: The former Denise Deceuninck of Paterson, NJ 2 daughters: Dr. Judy Moran of Paterson, NJ Dr. Josafin Picarelli of Paterson, NJ A sister: Rose Di Lemma of VA A brother: John Picarelli of Hawthorne, NJ Also survived by 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a son-in-law.
