I am grateful that Aunt Elaine thought I was a good egg.
Together with Patty,(and sometimes even Peter!)I had the privilege of sharing onion dip, a clean pool,chance sightings of Duke, cartwheels and roundoffs, deep conversations, light conversations, ice cream cones, Aquaro's on Monday nights,Charles Chips by the tin, Tab by the can, Bell's Palsy, badminton supplies, hot dogs all the way and treats from The Bonanza Wagon.
Aunt Elaine laughed with me when I was the only one laughing. We'd carry on until our eyes produced tears and our shoulders would shake. Whether I recall her in evening gowns for Saturday nights or shorts for mowing the lawn,she was beautiful.
It was an honor to know her.
