Dear Aunt Betty,
I always looked forward to you and Aunt Beatrice visiting us at the Shore. You had so many interesting things to talk about. We had something in common, our love of shoes. It was so nice to have you as a "sole" mate. I'm going to miss those times.
Love, Michelle

Dear Betty,
Where do I start. I'll always remember our friendship which started 50 years ago at William Paterson College where we sat next to each other in one of our classes. After graduation we taught in School No. 11 and became very close friends
I will also remember our European trip that you put together. You had a great love for traveling. We left when school closed in the summer and returned 2 days before school opened in the fall. We saw many European countries but the highlight of the tour was the time we spent with my grandfather, uncle, aunt & cousins in Naples and my aunts, uncles and cousins in Sicily.
You were instrumental in introducing me to, my husband Thom, 47 years ago and from that union we were blessed with two daughters, Annette & Michelle. In all those years you always remembered us on birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions.
I have you to thank for me becoming a Math Resource Teacher which in turn escalated to other positions.
Thom and I will miss you so much!!

Dear Betty,
You were first my Aunt Millie's very dear friend and then I was lucky enough to have you in my life when you welcomed me into your School 19 family. I still remember the very first day I met you when you walked me around your school. I felt very privileged to be able to have you as my principal. I also would like to thank you for believing in me when you put me in first grade after being a kindergaten and third grade teacher for so many years. You assured me that it was the right place for me. I was frightened of the new change but you knew I would love it with all my heart. It was because of you that I stood in that grade for fifteen more years before I retired. You were my inspiration. You will be missed by all of the children and educators of Paterson whose lives you so lovingly touched.
Love, Barbara Firrincili

Dear Aunt Betty,
I can literally say that I wouldn't be what I am today if it weren't for you. It was you and Aunt Bea that introduced my mother and father.
I remember the time when I was in grade school and you came to our house for a social visit and ended up tutoring me in penmanship. Dedicated educators like you are so good at instilling the enjoyment of education in others.
I will miss you very much. There will always be a special place in my heart for my Aunt Betty.
May God bless you and keep you.

Aunt Betty, Words could not describe the loss we all feel at this moment. You will always be in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. You have joined an elite group up there and I know the stars will be shining alot brighter for a bundle of joy and love has just joined the heavens. May God keep you well. Until we meet again.

Some of my earliest childhood memories include time spent with "Aunt Betty." I still have the first gift she ever gave me when I was less than a month old--a little duck stuffed animal...and I have saved most of the cards she and Aunt Bea sent me through the years, never missing a single holiday. And, years later, Betty became the "Great Godmother" to my triplet boys Ian, Gavin and Aaron and Godmother to our baby girl Ana-Clare. My husband adopted Betty as his aunt too. They had such an incredible mutual admiration! They loved to talk politics and play Scrabble--even though they didn't always agree on the "right strategies." Betty could talk about any topic intelligently....We respected her opinions so very much.
The thing that immediately comes to mind when I think of Betty is her warm smile, hearty hug and compassionate way. I loved her spunk, her enthusiasm for going new places, trying new foods and making fast friends upon her travels and adventures. She was a Christian through and through...one of my life's greatest role models.
Our entire family is so shocked and deeply saddened by Betty's passing but if anyone has a Fast Track Pass to Heaven, we know it's Betty! We will deeply miss her.
We love you, Betty.
Eric, Sue Ann, Ian, Gavin, Aaron and your "Little Beauty" Ana-Clare

Betty will be missed by all of the children whose lives she touched as both a teacher and an administrator. I was introduced to her through my friend and principal Ronald Sherman. I enjoyed being in her company. I also remember a very special trip to The Pines that we took together. Betty was a fun loving beautiful individual. She will be missed.

Mrs. Pisacreta was my husbands favorite teacher. He attended school number 11,in 1970 in Paterson. I am so happy we found her today, many years to late, however she has had a presence in our home for three generations... I smile when I see my husbands face light up when he recalls things she said to him in the first grade... he has repeated her quotes many times though the years to our daughter and now our grand children. I bet as a teacher never in her wildest dreams did she think a child so young hung on her every word, the power of a great teacher! Still she has the power to bring a smile to my husbands face. Thank you for blessing my husband as well as our family with your grace.
