Obituary of John J Galiano

Galiano, John J age 86 of Totowa at rest in Wayne on June 3, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Rose (nee Casteletti). Loving Father of John P. Galiano and his wife, Pat. Grandfather of Rocco Galiano and his wife, Monica, and John and Gina Galiano. Brother of Elma LaBagnara and the late Whilmena Lapelosa, Bessie Luciano, and Michael Galiano. Born in Paterson, he lived in Totowa since 1954. He was a Quality Control Inspector for Eastern Gear Inc., Paterson before retiring. Mr. Galiano was a member of the Totowa Happy Seniors. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a 4th degree member and Past Faithful Navigator of the St. James Knights of Columbus and was a member of Monsignor Stein Assembly. He belonged to the Passaic Valley Elks Lodge #2111, Totowa and was the chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Passaic County Elks CP Center, Clifton. He was the County Commander for the American Legion and was a member, past commander and past vice commander of the Pasquarillo-Bradle American Legion Post 187, Paterson. He was a member of the American Legion Post 10104, Totowa and a member of the VFW, Totowa. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 8:30 AM. Funeral mass to follow at Holy Angels RC Church, Little Falls at 9:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
