Vander Linden, Cornelius "Neil" age 85 of Paterson at rest in Boonton on April 7, 2008. Born in Paterson, he was a lifelong city resident. Cornelius was a Fire Captain for the Paterson Fire Department, Truck 3, Paterson, for 29 years before retiring in 1979. He was an avid golfer and his hobbies included Wood Working making beautiful pieces of furniture. In addition he was a WW II Army Airforce Veteran. Beloved husband of the late and former Virginia D. Osinga. Loving Father of Valerie V. Mancinelli and her husband John of Totowa and Neil C. Vander Linden and his wife Donna of West Milford. Grandfather of Jonathan and Samantha Mancinelli, David Vander Linden and the late Scott Vander Linden. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to The New Jersey Firemen's Home, 565 Lathrop Ave., Boonton, NJ 07005 would be appreciated. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com.
