Over the past several years we have had the pleasure of having Caesar fill our summer days and nights with his one of a kind anecdotes and infectious personality. For the past 3 or 4 years we have had the privelage of becoming closer to Caesar and spending more time in his company. He could carry on a conversation and adapt his many stories to fit the younger children, the adults or even his jockey friends (some of whom didn't understand English very well)! Both of us, Shaun, Jose and all of our friends are lucky to have been touched by your wisdom, and we won't forget you. Caesar, you were not only a friend, but you were family and will truly be missed. We love you and are blessed to have been able to spend the time we did with you. Those memories will live on forever.C'est la vie!
Love,
Caren and Robyn

My family was blessed to have had Mr.Casale touch all our lives in so many ways over the past 45 years. As a kindergarten students at First Avenue, he was my girlfriend Angela's dad. As my elementary school years continued, he became a "family friend" to my mom, dad, and me. As an 8th grader, I became one of his students. In high school, he remained a part of my life through Angela and my mom. (Who was blessed to work for him at First Avenue as one of his secretaries)My college years brought me back to First Ave as a substitute teacher for Mr. Casale, the principal. 4 years after graduating college, Mr. Casale hired me to work on his faculty. My life had come full circle, and I was back "home" again at First Ave. Mr. Casale was truly a remarkable man, who dedicated his life to his children, grandchildren, and the children at First Avenue. My husband, Tommy has come to know and love him. He also welcomed my son, Thomas into this world with loving thoughts and prayers. He will be greatly missed by the Salandra family. We will miss him but we will find comfort in the fact that we knew him. I will never forget his favorite phrase, "Such is life!" Godspeed, Mr. Casale.
