Obituary of Vincent Ralph Guarente

Guarente, Vincent Ralph, age 71 of Elmwood Park died Monday. Born in Paterson, he lived in Elmwood Park since 1975. He was a Police Officer for the city of Paterson for 25 years retiring in 1987. He was a member of PBA Local #1. After his retirement he co-owned with his wife Uhlen's Card Shop, Paterson. He wasa former member of the Good Timers at Blessed Sacrament RC Church, Paterson. He was an Air Force veteran. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Orlando) of Elmwood Park. Survivors include 4 children: Ralph Guarente of East Rutherford, Glenn Guarente of Paterson, Lisa Hogan of Wayne and Robert Guarente of Elmwood Park. Step-father of Debbie Ondeck of Garfield. Grandfather of Gianna, Christine, Cindy Lou, Stephen, Jacquelyn, Jessica and Laura. Brother of John Guarente of Las Vegas, NV, Nicholas Guarente of Las Vegas, NV, William Guarente of Prospect Park, Ida Bounassi of Hawthorne, Jean Cuccitro of Wayne, Carmella Serino of Las Vegas, NV and the late Larry and Dominic Guarente and Antoinette Pietkiewicz. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Friday at 9:15 am. Funeral Mass to follow at St. John's Cathedral, Paterson at 10:00 am. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
