Obituary of Teresa Monachello

Monachello, (nee Poidomani) Teresa age 79 of Haledon at rest in Wayne on December 22, 2007. Beloved wife of 54 years of Emanuel Monachello of Haledon. Loving Mother of JoAnn Nielsen and her husband Jim of Wayne and Sandra Zimmermann and her husband Scott of Wayne. Dear Sister of Emma Marino of Scoglitti, Sicily, Giovanni Poidomani of Italy and the late Giacomo Poidomani. Grandmother of Danielle, Michael, Lauren and Matthew. Also survived by family and friends. Born in Scoglitti, Sicily, she came to the United States in 1955 residing in Paterson before moving to Haledon for most of her life. She was a Seamstress for C&P Sportswear, Paterson. Mrs. Monachello was a parishioner of St. Gerards R.C. Church, Paterson and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Thursday at 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 11:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
