As I sit here tonight it's still not real that your gone. I look at your pictures, think of you walking me down the isle and how excited you were about Madison. I can't even begin to describe how empty I feel without you. Your the first thing I think about in the morning and the last thing I think about before I go to bed. I miss you so much Daddy and I can't believe that you left us. I'm not mad I'm just so so, sad because you meant the world to me and I wasn't ready to let you go. I know life must go on, but somedays it's extremely difficult to except life without you. Rob, Madison & Me are lost without you. All I ask of you is PLEASE watch over Rob, Madison,Emil Laura & Me because we are ALL deeply heart broken without you in our lives. You will remain in ALL of our hearts forever.
Until someday
Daddy

Emil's children were the most important part of his life. He loved Emil and Sandy as much as anyone could love someone. He would often tell me how very proud he was of the man and woman they had become. He knew how lucky they were to find their perfect mate. He loved Laura and Rob as much as he loved Sandy and Emil. His new granddaughter Madison was light of his life. It is sad that she will not know him, but our children will be able to tell her all about the wonderful man he was. I don’t think he actually knew how many people admired and loved him. He will be missed by many. Emil, may you watch over our children, grandchildren and Bobby. May you rest in peace.

"little Emil" posted a condolence
My dad was a man of great integrity, a man of honor and a man who people knew they could count on. If he said he was going to do something, he did it. He was a man who said what he felt and he meant what he said. You always knew where you stood. You knew that you would get the truth from him and after he said his peace, he would go back into battle right along side you. Dad was a leader, but he led by example, not just words
My dad was a very hard man to please and was the toughest SOB Ive ever met. But at the same time his heart was enormous and as long as he knew that you did your best he was satisfied. He was also a very wise man who many sought advice and counsel from.
He was not just my father in name he was my dad in deed. He was my idol as a child, my mentor as a young man and my best friend in this world who knew me better than anyone
May my dad rest in peace and continue to guide us and protect all of us as he did while he was here on earth.
Dad, you taught me well and I promise to continue to take care of our family as you would have wanted me to.

I worked with Emil for over 10 years from NatWest and into North fork Bank together. His compassion, loyalty, sense of humor, and strong-headed sense of right and wrong foster a friendship I will always remember. I used to tell him that he was hard on the outside and very soft on the inside. He would smile and say - "Don't tell anyone, you are ruining my image". I will miss him a lot.

Sandy, you dad was truely a great man. I will always hold the funny memories we shared close to my heart, especially the basketball game at your house in 2000. You are one of my dearest friends and my heart goes out to you, Emil and your family. Always keep his spirit and memory alive within yourself so you can pass on to your daughter Madison what a wonderful man her grandfather was. You are in my thoughts and prayers everyday to get through this difficult time. May he rest in peace and watch over you always. I love you Sandy with all my heart and will always be here for you.

Sandy, Emil, and Families, We were so terribly saddened to hear of your father's passing. Al met Emil about 40 years ago when they were both embarking on their careers and most recently when Al joined Emil's hunting club. As you know, I met him through your grandfather when we worked together at Edelman's and their lives were hunting, fishing, and you! They were both great men who gave you unforgetable memories. At this very difficult time not much can comfort you. But we hope that in the future all those wonderful memories will surface, and flourish, and carry you and your children through life. Our deepest sympathies to all of you. Carol & Al Greenough

Emil, "BIG BOY"!
I don't know where to begin. I'll just start somewhere in the middle.
Coming out from the woods; dragging your deer or helping you with your hunting gear. Our times together...adventurous.
In my eyes you were a man of many hats: my friend, my hunting buddy, my comic relief and best of all; my father figure.
Year after year our friendship grew stronger. Your endless advice was always appreciated and your quick wit; always available.
Whether it was breakfast at our favorite diners or the holidays in your home; I was always welcomed -it was family.
Perhaps we were "joined at the hip" or "made from the same mold". One thing for sure; we shared a passion for laughter.
"TREASURES" are the memories I have of you; Emil.
"FAMILY" we will always be.
I love you.

Daddy, As I sit here today and write this I still can't believe your gone. I still think your going to come walking through the door any minute. You were everything to me. You were not only my Dad but you were also one of my best friends. I can't even begin to desribe what you meant to me but I know that you knew. You were always my bigget fan as I was yours. I probably should have told you more how much I loved you and how proud I was to have you as my father but once again I believe in my heart that you knew. It makes me so sad to think that your Grand Daughter will never get to experience first hand what a wonderful man she had for a Grand Father but even the short time you had with her will remain in our hearts forever. Your my hero Daddy and you will be in my heart and soul forever. Please watch over us and we will see you again someday. I love you Daddy.
Love,

I have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of people over the years. Emil will always standout as one of the very best employees and friends. He cared about the clients, his employees and doing the job correctly and with integrity.
