Obituary of Palma Melone

Melone, Palma (nee Cortese) age 95 of Wayne on December 5, 2007. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson, then in Totowa before moving to Wayne. She was a housewife. Mrs. Melone was an honorary member of St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson and a member of its Senior Citizens Club. She was one of the 1st crossing guards for the city of Paterson. Beloved wife of the late Pasquale Melone, whom she married in 1937. Loving Mother of Vincent Melone of North Haledon, Judith Schenack of Wayne and Patricia Travali of Manchester. Palma was 1 of 7 children and is survived by 2 Sisters, Eleanor Scala and Katherine Marinari of Wayne. She is survived by 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
