Obituary of Jean Elizabeth Sudol

Sudol, Jean E. (nee Galletta) age 75 of Smithville formerly of West Paterson at rest in Smithville on October 14, 2007, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Paterson she lived in West Paterson before moving to Smithville almost a year ago. She was an Office Manager for the Passaic County Road Department, Paterson, for 28 years before retiring in 1996. Mrs. Sudol was a member of the Passaic County Republican Party and volunteered at the Deborah Hospital Foundation. She lived her life caring for her immediate and extended family, always willing to lend a hand when needed. She loved to travel, read, play cards and visit her favorite casinos in Atlantic City. Loving wife of 56 years of Robert B. Sudol of Smithville. Mother of Donna Morano and her husband Richard of West Palm Beach, Fl, Robert R. Sudol, MD and his wife Nancy of Galloway, Debi Ciel and her husband Tony of Nutley and the late John S. Sudol. Daughter of the late Nat and Agnes (nee Proll) Galletta. Jean was devoted to her 5 grandchildren, Tony Ciel, Jaimie Morano, Matthew Ciel, Marissa Sudol and Selena Sudol. Sister of Frank Galletta and his wife Myra of West Paterson, William Galletta and his wife Joanne of Hawley, PA, Nat Galletta, Jr. and his wife Claire of Port St. Lucie, FL and Gail Bottiglierie and her husband William of Lebanon, VA. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. Entombment to follow at Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa.
