Ward, Gerald "Gerry" V. age 47 of Gastonia, NC at rest in Wayne on September 19, 2007. Born in Paterson, he lived there most of his life before moving to Gastonia, NC 3 years ago. He was a Sheriff's Officer for Passaic County Sheriff's Dept., for 25 years before retiring 3 years ago. Mr. Ward was a semi professional football player for the NJ Giants and was an avid fisherman. Beloved husband of Leslie Massaro of Gastonia, NC. Loving Father of Shalane R. Ward of Paterson. Doting father in law of Alexander Rodriguez of Clifton. Dear son of Barbara (nee Mc Donald) and the late Curly Ward, Jr. Adoring grandfather of Janiyah A. Ward and Yajuan C. Rodriguez both of Paterson. Affectionate brother of Vincent Ward of Paterson, Darin Ward of Kentucky, Myron Ward of NC, Darlene Bullock and her husband Joseph of NC, Andrea Ward of NC and the late Curtis Ward Sr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Sunday at 10:00 AM.
