Muir, Mae (nee Carroll) of Totowa at rest in Wayne on September 2, 2007. Devoted wife of the late James K. Muir Sr. Loving mother of Nora Muir of Sacramento, CA, Colleen Lentz of Fairfield, Jaime Muir of Totowa, Mimi Heine of Bloomingdale and the late James K. Muir, Jr. Adoring grandmother of Erin Roock, Kristin Gemski, Maeghan Marion, Ian Coffman, James Antony Muir, Dylan, Jenna and Melissa Lentz. Loving great grandmother of Luke Marion and Morgan, Shannon, and Katelyn Roock. Born in Paterson, she was a lifelong resident of Totowa. She was a Senior Principal for the Passaic County Board of Taxation, Wayne for 25 years. She was also a Retired Registered Nurse for various hospitals in the area. Mrs. Muir was a parishioner and taught C.C.D. at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. She was an avid gardener. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Thursday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
