Rosine Fenners (nee Procaccio), previously Rosine Kelly, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at age 90. She was the only child of Josephine (nee Manzione) and Peter Procaccio of Paterson, NJ and was born in the Bronx, NYC.  Her family later moved to Wayne Avenue in Paterson where she graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1950.  She was later a graduate of Spencer Business school and went on to hold Senior Administrative Assistant positions at Dumont Televisions, American Cyanamid and Singer-Kearfott until her retirement in the late 1990s when she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She married her first husband Raymond Kelly (of Paterson, NJ), in 1959 and lived in the Lions Head Lake section of Wayne, NJ for most of her adult life where she raised her two sons, Robert Kelly (of Pittstown, NJ) and Raymond Kelly (of Rockaway, NJ).  Following her first husband’s death in 1982, Rosine re-married Richard Fenners, an old high school friend, and they lived in Oak Ridge, NJ until his passing in 2005.  She remained in Oak Ridge living with her stepson Ricky Fenners for the past 20 years and only recently relocated to Victoria Mews assisted living in Boonton, NJ.

Growing up in the post-WWII era, Rosine excelled at school and was at the top of her classes. She loved to shop and enjoy fine cuisine her entire life. She was fiercely independent and often the life of parties and gatherings amongst her friends and family. After retirement she went on to work part-time as a “nanny to grannies” offering support and companionship to elderly persons and children.  She loved making new connections and was dedicated to staying in touch with her many friends…Betty, Marge, Carmella, Corina, Eva, Joan to mention a few. To her caretakers and healthcare providers…Hjordis, Loretta, Valentina and so many others…you were truly angels to her and Rosine was blessed to have you in her life. To her family she was a unique matriarch and there was never a dull moment, she made us cry, she made us laugh, she made us angry, but she loved us, her friends and caretakers all so very very much.

Rosine (Rosina, Rosie, Rosanna, mom and grandma) is predeceased by her parents Peter and Josephine Procaccio and her husbands Raymond Frances Kelly and Richard Fenners.   She is survived by her two sons and their spouses, Raymond Kelly and his wife Jody Kelly, Robert Kelly and his wife Barbara; and her grandchildren Nicole Kelly, Scott Kelly and Bryan Kelly.
