William J Priestly, affectionately known as Billy or Bill, passed away in his hometown of Paterson NJ. Billy, a graduate of East Side High School, was an electrician by trade. He spent his last years as a senior advocate for his friends and fellow residents at Governor Paterson Towers. He was always interested in improving the safety and quality of life for his fellow seniors. Billy coordinated meetings connecting the seniors to officials for their voices to be heard. He enjoyed helping others and being a friend to everyone in the community. Billy would always go out of his way if anyone needed his help. He was a very loving brother and friend. Billy will be deeply missed by all

 

Bill was an electrician with the I.B.E.W. for many years before retiring.

 

Dear brother of Albert Chappellie & his wife Rosemary of Clifton. Bill is also survived by his aunt, Jean Chappellie of LA, his cousins, Patricia Wardlow of Paterson and Mark Wardlow of Paterson. He is preceded in death by his father, Constantino "Chip" Chappellie (2018) and his mother, Rosina "Chris" (nee Noble) Chappellie (2016)

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at St. Stephens R.C. Church, 86 Martin Street, Paterson, on Friday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Stephens R.C. Church, 86 Martin Street, Paterson, NJ 07501. Arrangements are by Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, NJ
