Obituary of Dr. Priscilla N Oguine

Oguine, Dr. Priscilla N. (nee Odukwe), age 83 of Maplewood at rest in Maplewood on December 25, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Obed Oguine (1997). Loving mother of Ifeoma Oguine-Iwelumo M.D. of Totowa, Ike Oguine of Atlanta, GA., Azubike Oguine of Nigeria, Obinna Oguine of Nigeria and the late Dr. Chigioke Oguine (1998). She is survived by three daughters in-law and nine grandchildren. Sister of Samuel Odukwe of Nigeria, Godwin Odukwe of Nigeria and Edith Odukwe of Irvington. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Nigeria, she came to the U.S.A. in 1996 settling in Maplewood. She was a College Professor at Seton Hall University, South Orange for many years before retiring. Prior to that she also taught at N.J.I.T, Newark. Dr. Oguine was dedicated to education and her career and was an avid reader. She was an avid church goer and a woman of great faith. She was a very giving person, especially with and to her grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 12:00 PM-4:00 PM. Interment will take place at ODM Oguine Compound Unuka, Osumenyi, Nigeria at a later date.
