Obituary of Andrew Klimovich

Klimovich, Andrew "Andy" age 91 of Totowa at rest in Livingston on March 15, 2017. Beloved husband of 60 years of the late and former Florence De Vito (2010). Loving father of Joanne Ducz & her husband Daniel of Basking Ridge and Kathy Sisti & her husband Pete of Horseheads, NY. Dear grandfather of Andrew Ducz & his wife Christine, Meredith Rusu & her husband Gabe, Jennifer Causey & her husband Justin, Kelly Mallory & her husband Stephen, Amanda Mullooly & her husband Daniel and Kimberly Little & her husband Benjamin. Dear great-grandfather of Matthew Rusu, Luke Rusu, Molly Ducz and Jamison Mallory. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Passaic, he moved to Totowa in 1950. He was a Carpenter for N.J.C.F. Union, Passaic for many years before retiring in 1988. Mr. Klimovich was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. He was a WW II Navy veteran serving in the European and Pacific Theaters. He served in Okinawa and North Africa. He received the Expert Rifleman's Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Ribbon, the American Theater Ribbon, the Good Conduct Ribbon, the Victory Ribbon, and the Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon with 1 Star. He was a Seabee. He was an all-around handyman. He enjoyed visiting Atlantic City with his wife, and he was an avid N.Y. Yankee fan. He was a member of the Totowa Happy Seniors, and he and his wife traveled with the club. He also enjoyed time spent with his family and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
