Obituary of Elizabeth Makoujy

Makoujy, Elizabeth (nee Matala), age 89 of Totowa at rest on October 12, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Tony Makoujy. Loving mother of Deborah Gilbert & her husband, Gary of Newton, Norman Makoujy & his wife, Doreen of Totowa, Diane Makoujy of Totowa and Anthony Makoujy of Santa Rosa, CA. Beloved grandmother of Amanda Gill & her husband Ivan, Garrett Makoujy, Frank Kleinsorge and Dylan Kleinsorge. Caring great-grandmother of Viviana Gill. Dear sister-in-law of Joseph Makoujy & his wife, June and Jean Matala. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was born in Marianna, PA, but spent the last 57 years as a resident of Totowa. She was employed by Fortunoff's of Wayne until she retired in 1992. Always active in her community, she was a member of the John Raad Post #438 Women's Auxiliary in Paterson and belonged to the Totowa PAL Women's Auxiliary and the Totowa Seniors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Sacred Heart Armenian Catholic Church, Little Falls at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 4-8 PM.
