Obituary of Isabelle M. Toner

Toner, Isabelle Martha (nee Fazakerly), 83, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2009. Born in Paterson, she lived in Totowa and was a lifelong, summertime resident of Ocean Grove. She was a proud 1946 graduate of the Paterson General Hospital School of Nursing, where she served as an Army Cadet Nurse. She was a Medical Social Worker for the Passaic County Board of Social Services, Paterson, for 40 years before retiring in 1991. Isabelle is survived by her daughter, Carole Mecca and her granddaughter, Marissa of Totowa; her nephews William Rodgers and his wife Cindy and James Rodgers and his wife Beverly; her cousin William Admirand and his wife Janice. Isabelle is predeceased by her much loved son-in-law Anthony Mecca and her sister Joan Rodgers. Although her family will miss her greatly, they are thankful she is now at peace. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 10:30 AM. Funeral service to follow at Little Falls United Methodist Church, Little Falls at 11:00 AM. Cremation is private at the request of the family. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
