Obituary of Benjamin L. Haefeli

Haefeli, Benjamin L. age 79 of Totowa at rest in Pequannock Township on December 15, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Sarah Ann (nee Batte) Haefeli (2006). Father of Mark B. Haefeli and his wife Tricia of Montclair and Brian Haefeli and his wife Janice of Maryland. Grandfather of Alice Ann, Amelia, Sara Mary, Laura, Emily, Jenna and Elizabeth. Brother of Edward Haefeli of Totowa. Uncle of Edward Haefeli of Wayne and Rita Aboyoun of Wayne. Born in Haledon, he lived in Paterson then West Paterson before moving to Totowa in 1971. He was an Accountant for Edward Haefeli Urban Renewal Developer, Newark for several years before retiring in 1999. Prior to that he was an educator with the Paterson Board of Education for many years, prior to that he also worked for Prudential Insurance, Newark. He was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. He was also a volunteer at St. Josephs Wayne Hospital and he frequently attended Broadway Theater. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
